Here's a message from Raelynn’s Mommy:

"Grief is defined as deep sorrow but it’s so much more. People think that we grieve for the person that we lost but that’s not everything.

We grieve for the life that we envisioned for that person.

We grieve the family unit that we had in mind and planned for.

We grieve for the memories that we made and the ones that we didn’t get the chance to.

We grieve that empty space at the table at family events.

We grieve our own selves because your body truly changes physically and psychologically.

We grieve them. Every. Single. Part.

2 years have gone by and the grief hasn’t changed I have just learned to grow with it and carry it with me.

It’s something that is forever with you.

It’s that puzzle piece that is missing. It angers, upsets, saddens, and numbs.

To my beautiful baby girl Raelynn,
Not a day goes by that we don’t think of you. We talk of you often and your siblings know who you are. We talk about what it would be like if you were still walking this earth with us. We will continue to make sure your name, legacy, and story live on in this world. We miss you every single day.

Love you forever."

2025 was a year to “Light the Way” toward a future where every baby thrives and SIDS is a thing of the past. 💖

Because of your support, we didn't just share a mission—we shared a lifeline. Together, we’ve secured safer sleep for over a thousand babies and supported families when they needed it most.

We are sending love and strength to the Uecker family today as they honor and remember sweet Barrett. His incredible legacy lives on through the Briggs & Barrett Project, and his spirit will forever be cherished and celebrated.💕🙏😇

Barrett was a sweet 3-month-old boy whose smile could light up the darkest room. He passed due to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome): the sudden, unexpected, and unexplained death of an apparently well baby.

While SIDS usually occurs when a baby is asleep, Barrett was the rare case where he was awake—laughing and playing one second, and gone the next.

During the month of October, parents, families, and friends are invited to plant a “Legacy Tree” in remembrance of infants who have passed away. The tree plantings will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and infant loss, and stand as a tribute to the beautiful babies lost. How did our BB Crashers team get started? We were inspired by our friends at OWLET® and their “Showers Crashers” program to select deserving families across the country and surprise them with a full baby registry!

In December 2019, we completed our very first crash. The family was nominated after enduring years of infertility, stillbirth, and miscarriage. With the help of the parents-to-be’s employers, our board and sponsors gathered all the needed baby items and surprised them at a work meeting!

Since then, our BB Crashers team has been working hard to carefully select each and every crash we do, spreading joy and support when families need it most.
